We really need to stop mocking the poor, because all of us only got what our oppressors are willing to allow us to have; from their cash (with the the pics of slave masters on it), to all the toxic mass produced bullshit.
The shit we really need ain’t for sale, from true Liberation, to unpolluted air, water, land. I ain’t saying you gotta be poor, or that having cash is inherently bad, but we can’t let that be our yardstick for achievement under oppression. Many Jews in Germany had a lot of money until those with the real power decided that they shouldn’t. We in that same boat.
So with or without money, the real measure of Black success is our willingness to organize and strive towards Pan-African Liberation.
