The human mind and imagination is what the faithful should really worship, it is the true source of divinity. You create gods and construct doctrine with your mind, you imagine that you will have a mansion on a street paved with gold in the clouds; and so your…actions reflect what your mind conceives. At the same time Christians and other believers demonstrate the great potential of the human mind, they also handicap it by adhering to fantasy while negating evidence. If we tapped human potential in order to bring more justice to the world instead of using it to construct faiths that compel us to await the world’s ultimate destruction, we’d have a better environment and less suffering on a global scale.
