It was almost a decade ago, but I remember the big uproar of Dave Chappelle “walking” away from a reported $54 million dollars. Initially when it happen it did not make since, but recently I have read Del Jones’s Cultural Bandits (thanks to your tumblr i found out about this great series) and I think Dave made the best move in his whole career.
