If you had a child who was being bullied at school. If those bullies were taking you child’s lunch money, beating them, spitting on them, and even sexually abusing them…
Would you tell that child to pray, sing, and to passively allow the bullies abuse them until the bullies see the error of their ways, and the light of Christ put it on their hearts to stop the abuse?
If you did, what do you think that would do to that child’s self-esteem? How will that child come to feel about themselves, their parents, their peers, and the world in general?
Well, that’s what we as a people did during the African-American Civil Rights Movement, and when you walk through any Black Community in America, you are seeing the effects of marching and singing for someone to give you Rights, instead of standing and fighting for Liberation.
