No, that’s absurd. The Systems and Institutions of White Domination have found out that it’s much easier to co-opt Black movements, buy off their leaders, give the masses some superficial and unenforced reforms, and that’s it. That’s how they’ve been dealing with Black Reform and Integrationist since the late 60s.
Now, Black Revolutionary Struggles get different type of treatment when they start to resonate with the masses of Black folks, because Revolution employs Mass Organization (state craft, economic empowerment, Pan-African unification), and Integration/Reform rest on Mass Mobilization (protest, demonstrations, activism).
The #BlackLivesMatters Movement is an Integrationist/Refomist movement, so they don’t have to worry about all that, if it took a Revolutionist turn, then we’d be having a different discussion…..but it ain’t so we ain’t.
