On the Black Vote.

It’s time for the ole’ “peep-po died so wez could vote,” mantra to emerge again. SMH. We need to mature politically as a people.

Saying our ancestors died for the vote is like saying the Revolutionaries involved in the Brinks Robbery risked their lives for money! The Black Liberation Army struggled for Liberation and the money was a means to that end.

So our brave ancestors died to secure Basic Human Dignity for the oppressed Black masses in the US, and in their analysis they concluded that the vote would help get us there. So the vote was a tool.

What do you do with a tool you inherited from your grandparents? You first determine if it still works, then you decide if that tool is useful for the jobs you need to do today or not, then you fix it if it’s broken, or toss it if it has lost its usefulness.
