What’s Obama’s Haiti?

We were discussing HillBillary Clinton’s crimes during Clinton’s first two terms in office and Eyon asked me “what’s Obama’s Haiti?”I responded; “Libya, not wait, Honduras, no wait, it was Libya…” Now that I’ve had time to really think about it; Haiti is Obama’s Haiti. As far as Bush vs. Obama; Iraq and Afghanistan are Obama’s Iraq and Afghanistan. As far as Reagan vs. Obama;...

Please give me your opinion on Dr. Martin Luther King!

I admire and respect Dr. King; but I ain’t talking about the Dr. King that the Black Masses have fetishized and the White Elites have distorted.King displayed enormous ideological growth over his relatively short lifespan.  He was only 39 when the government murdered him; hell, I was still a Black Puritan well into my 20s.King evolved, or was evolving into a Revolutionary, but he had the exposure and popularity of a mainstream Integrationist,...

do u consider gk butterfield and shawn king black?

Of course Shawn King is Black, if he wasn’t he’d spell his name like this: “Sean.”As for as Congressman Butterfield, his Hood pass has long been revoked, and his standing as a member in the Black Race has been suspended until further notice, which is the status of all members of the Congressional Black Caucus. In fact, we are in negotiation with the White Delegation to trade all members of the Congressional Black Caucus in exchange for...

Brought to Heel.

Our unschooled ancestors in the 1930s, 40s, and 50s were more politically intelligent than all these educated New Negros today. When they saw that the Republicans were not responsive to their political interest, they made a mass exodus from the Democratic party, we can’t even depart from a disloyal politician, let alone abandon an entire party.I really care less about the US head of state than I do about the critical thinking skills, and...

What are you views on Booker T. Washington and W.E.B. DuBois?

The Washington/DuBois conflict is basically a chicken/egg debate; what comes first for newly “liberated” Black masses.  Should we focus on industrial development and shun political confrontation, or should we engage in direct confrontation with Systems of oppression right away.  Was our economic development more important than our political/intellectual development?  That’s it in a nutshell; and history has proven both of these men...

What are your views on The Nation Of Gods & Earths, and Clarence 13X specifically.

Damn, I don’t want to get into this one. SMH. The teachings of the Nation of Gods & Earths are the foundation of the dopest and most life affirming Hip Hop ever.  For that, I am eternally grateful to the Nation and Clarence 13X.  I’ll just leave it at that, or maybe not….yes I will; or I think I need to say something…Damn you @ralphielauren!Mythological concepts and ideologies are not enough to construct and sustain a...

Why is it so hard to find a list of black authors on any list of complied authors or works of books that should be in the public domain. The first black author published a book in America in the 18th century, there should be hundreds, or thousands of texts from black authors from years ago that should be freely available now. Do you know how to access any of these archives?

This is a painful question for me, you’ve totally ruined my Sunday Anonymous; but I’ll answer anyway.I wish the problem was simply finding list.  It’s a much bitter issue than that.  We are losing entire collection of academic and artist works by our well known and more obscure Black artist and academics. The reason it’s hard to find complied list of Black authors, artist, recordings, artifacts, etc; is because Blacks don’t have...

I’m in my senior year of H.S. and in the process of working on a national broadcast for PBS NewsHour called Broken Justice. I’m finding out that Black students not having Black teachers negatively affects this in the classroom. Could you tell me how?

I don’t really understand your question.  What is the “this” you are referring to when you asked “negatively affects this in the classroom?”Yes, Black students perform better when we have Black teachers, but Black teachers are not enough, you need committed Black teachers, a Black (or African Centered) curriculum, a competent Black school administration, a stable and supportive Black community, etc.  The best Black teachers are not...
